Soft Glam for Fall

Since returning from New York, I’ve had fall on the brain. NYFW always leaves me feeling inspired in so many ways so I teamed up with Burt’s Bees to create a look inspired by a few of my favorite runway trends. One thing I saw a lot of was more muted, natural makeup looks. Fall often leaves us craving bolder, darker lip colors, which I love, but this season I wanted to create a softer, muted look. Here are the steps I took to create this look.

Foundation:

I applied Burt’s Bees Goodness Glows Liquid Makeup in Buff to my face and worked it down my neck for a seamless blend.  This foundation creates a full coverage finish while also moisturizing your skin. To give my skin a more matte finish, I lightly applied Burt’s Bees Mattifying Powder Foundation in Sand.

Skin:

For blush, I used the new All Aglow Lip & Cheek Stick in Peach Pond. I warmed the product by applying it to the back of my hand then using my fingers to tap the cream onto the apples of my cheeks.  This blush is buildable and can also double as a lip color. For highlighter, I used the new All Aglow Bronzer & Highlighter Stick in Opal Mist.  I applied to the high plains of my face: my cheekbones, cupid’s bow and the bridge of my nose. I would totally use this as a cream eyeshadow as well.

Eyes:

For shadow, I applied the lightest shade from the Eye Shadow Palette Trio in Blooming Desert all over my lid as a base. Then I applied the golden shade as a lower lash liner and worked the darkest shade into my crease. I created a soft cat eye with the Nourishing Eyeliner Pencil in Soft Black and then coated my lashes with the Nourishing Mascara in Classic Black.  For brows, I used the Eyebrow Pencil in Brunette to fill in any sparse areas and define my arch.

Lips:

The final step in my look was applying the Burt’s Bees Satin Lipstick in Lily Lake and topping it with Liquid Lipstick in Blush Bay (one of six on-trend, gilded shades exclusive to CVS!).

This look is soft and pretty for fall. I love the muted golden eye colors with just a small cat eye flick on the outside corner. I created this look using only Burt’s Bees Beauty products, which are made with nourishing, natural ingredients and free from parabens.

My love for makeup began at a very early age. For me, makeup is a tool I use to enhance my unique features, rather than mask them. Beauty is such a general term and it can mean so many things.  When referring to outward beauty, I think of characteristics that give us personality, like freckles or striking eyes. Every woman is beautiful in her own unique way. The best part? There’s no other you in this world. So own it, girl. Be your own beautiful.

Thank you to Burt’s Bees for partnering with me to create this look and don’t forget to check out the entire Burt’s Bees Beauty Collection in-stores and online at your local CVS Pharmacy.

Thank you! It’s a light to medium coverage. 🙂

  • Love the whole look and the pics…they’re sooo beautiful x

  • Do you know what lip shades would be best for a soft summer palatte? I have such a hard time matching the shades in the store’s horrible lighting! Thanks in advance!
