What We Wore to the Pumpkin Patch | Casual Fall Outfits

My kid is an outside kid.  Probably most toddlers are.  Rainy days are basically torture for her, she needs to be outside.  She loves to explore all the things.

This past weekend, Matt came down to Ohio from Toronto, and we wanted to do something fun as a family.  We decided to check out a pumpkin farm and Kenny girl had the time of her life.  She was so thrilled to take a big girl tractor ride, even though daddy walked behind the entire time to not let her out of his sight. 🙂

Before heading out the door into the chilly Fall day, I put together some casual fall outfits that I had to share with y’all.  These outfits would make for great Fall family photos!  I prefer to see Fall photos to be taken in casual, season appropriate attire, while I love seeing more elegant choices for Christmas photos.

Mamas, do you feel my pain on the above photos?  It’s like one day she woke up and will no longer so much as look at the camera when we want to take a photo.  Forget even trying to get a smile out of her.

Even though she was being a little stinker, doesn’t she look like she fell right out of a J. Crew catalog?  I’m dying over her entire outfit and that cutie little ponytail!

I left the house in my go-to denim dress (on sale for under $20!) and a beige cardigan.  When I stepped out of the car, I knew I needed more layers.  It was FREEZING.  This Cali girl is not used to these cold days anymore.  I was so happy I had my plaid poncho in the car.  I bought this poncho at a local boutique here in Ohio and unfortunately cannot find a brand name on it to share with y’all.  I’ve already been receiving DMs about it, so I’m bummed I can’t point you in the right direction where to buy one for yourself.  You know me though, I scoured the google-verse and found some super cute plaid ponchos and linked them below.  They’re all reasonably priced and this one in particular I’m loving.

It is a very cute poncho. Not that we carry the same exact one but at Cracker Barrel we have SO many ponchos, shawls, wraps, toggle shaws, you name it right now. Oh even vests and cocoon cardigans. So worth a shot if anyone is looking for those types of pieces and has a store near by.
