DIY Christmas Floral & Candle Centerpiece

DIY Christmas Floral & Candle Centerpiece

This Christmas, I wanted to make a new centerpiece that would be easy for you guys to recreate at home.  So I came up with this beauty with the help of my cousin, Mindy, while she was in town visiting over the Thanksgiving holiday.

I grabbed two bags of pinecones from the craft store and painted them white, silver and gold, alternating colors.
I found  small unfinished wooden crate from my local craft store and decided to paint it a pretty matte mint shade with chalk paint.  We then hot glued two floral dry foam brick into the bottom of the crate.
Next we took one sprig of flocked branches and cut it into several pieces and inserted it into the floral foam.  Then added in some greenery and gold berries to make it a little more festive.  A little gold goes a long way to warm up the whole piece.
For just a little added touch, we hot glued a piece of burlap ribbon on both ends of the crate. This just helped to make it look a little more finished.

We added in two mercury glass candle holders with white candles and voila!  So pretty!  This project was easy to do and just gorgeous.  I can’t forget the moss…  We added in plenty of moss to fill in any empty space and just make the entire piece look more “full”.
What sort of Christmas or Holiday decor DIY’s are you working on or plan to make this season?

I put together a small list of my favorite Christmas decorations for you guys to shop through…  So many amazing pieces to get your home Merry & Bright!  ðŸ™‚
