2 Easy Last Minute Halloween Costume Ideas

2 Easy Last Minute Halloween Costume Ideas

It’s Matt’s favorite time of year…  Halloween!  We look forward to October each year because we get to really let our creativity show with our videos.  Last year, Matt was working on Timeless, so he didn’t get to be as involved as he likes.  This year, we’ve released two videos so far and they’re both easy to recreate and great for anyone looking for a last minute costume idea.  Chances are you have most of the makeup products used to get these looks.  As for the products you don’t have, they’re easily replaceable with something you can find as your local Sephora, Ulta or drugstore.

First up, we have a scarecrow.  This would be adorable for a family dressing up as the Wizard of Oz!

There is no special makeup products involved in this look, which makes it PERFECT for any last-minute folks out there.  Just grab a straw hat, any flannel shirt and straw, if you have easy access to it, and you’re good to go!  This is such a cute look that’s office and kid appropriate.

On Thursday, I released my latest Halloween makeup tutorial: Easy Skull Makeup.  If you’re looking for a creepy, but not too scary, costume, then this is for you.  Skull/Skeleton makeup can be very intimidating.  I’ve done skull makeup in the past that was very intricate with face paints that took FOREVER to do.  They came out so cool, but not everyone has the time or patience to do that.  I wanted to create a skull look that would be super easy for anyone to recreate and take the intimidation out of it for you…  So, I came up with this look.

Marc Jacobs | Coconut Primer
Make Up For Ever | Ultra HD Foundation
Cover FX | Concealer
NARS | Creamy Concealer

Make Up For Ever | Flash Palette

As I said in the video, this wig was TERRIBLE.  If you’re looking for a great quality wig, be sure to check out Hairdo.  I recently received their “Out of the Blue” and “Lilac Frost” and both are beautiful wigs!

These both look great, and they look so much easier than I would have expected! I’m always a last minute person when it comes to Halloween – focusing on the makeup would make it a lot easier to pull something together rather than running around trying to find a costume!

Sorry I didn’t dress up this year at all. I was a witch a few years ago for work.
