This DIY Pumpkin Flower Pot went viral on Pinterest when originally posted in 2014.
I love Fall.
I love the changing leaves, the colors, the hot cocoa.
I love that we have a reason to wear boots and sweaters.
Winter though? Now that’s a different story. I’d like to skip Winter altogether.
I’m starting to pull out all of my Fall decorations to get my house all cozy for the season, and I decided to put together this cute little DIY.
It was so simple to create and makes for an adorable Autumn table centerpiece.
This project cost about $22 to make. If you choose to use a real pumpkin, it will be even more budget-friendly.
This cute Autumn centerpiece took about 5 minutes total to create.
I really enjoy mums.
I love all the vibrant colors they come in. I really wanted purple for this project, but sadly couldn’t find any in the right size for this pumpkin.
I chose a medium sized faux pumpkin from my local craft store for this craft.
You could easily use a real pumpkin, but I like that this won’t wilt and get stinky in the Los Angeles heat we’ve still got going on.
For the first step, I used a pencil to trace a rough circle the size of the flower pot.
Because the pumpkin was made from a foam material, it was hollow inside and easy to cut with a craft knife.
Be sure that if you’re using a faux pumpkin, that you’re picking up a hollow one or else this project becomes about one thousand times more complicated, lol.
Just drop your flower pot inside and you’ve got just about the cutest little Fall centerpiece ever! So easy and so fun!
