Townhouse Project: $60 Gallery Wall

Townhouse Project: $60 Gallery Wall

Our Ohio townhouse is just about finished.  Many of you will remember this post where I revealed our living room before and after photos.  I’ve been so happy with the living room and had two small projects to complete this entire area.  We have a L-shaped family room that also includes our dining room, so it’s more of a “great room” than anything.  The two projects on my list for this space: decorate the blank dining room wall and decorate the mantle above the fireplace.

I didn’t take a before photo of the wall because it was quite literally a blank white wall.  I do have before video on my Instagram Stories save under the highlight topic: renovation.

I decided to create a gallery wall in the dining room and printed out four family photos to frame.  After seeing my girlfriend, McKenna Bleu’s, gallery wall, I knew I wanted to use the same frames she used.  What a stinkin’ STEAL!  I went with the 16×20 frame that includes an 11×14 mat.  The regular price is $14.99, but there’s a current sale (promo code: 19SEP35W) that makes them $9.74!  I found a coupon code for my photo prints from Walgreens (50% off) and got 4 11×14 poster prints of my photos for under $22, with one hour pickup.  Then I placed my order online for my photo frames, chose store pickup, and had the project completed and hung all that same day.  Now that’s my kind of project!  Total cost: $22 for photos and $39 for four frames = $61.  Not bad for a stunning gallery wall.

After I got the photos in the frames and laid them on the floor to arrange, my mother-in-law suggested that we hang the photos in the living room and move the “It is well” print set to the dining room.  So we got to work.  As a reminder, here is what the living room wall looked like before:

I love the way it looked, but moving it to the dining room was a fun, simple switch.  Here is how the living room wall turned out:

Townhouse Project: $60 Gallery WallI love having the personal touch of our photos.  These frames look so much more expensive than they are, plus they are glass, not plastic, which is what I would expect to find at this price point.  What do you think about my $60 wall facelift?  I’m obsessed!  I will absolutely be buying these frames again!

Next up on Stories, I’ll be decorating my living room mantle using a mix of vintage finds from our local flea market and new finds from various places, all of which are total bargains.

PS- I also snagged this adorable Fall pillow that’s on sale for $15 (with promo code: LTDKH7BNW95Z).
