Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bites that are INSANELY Delicious

Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bites that are INSANELY Delicious

I originally saw this recipe on Instagram being made by Amber Lancaster.  I took the bones of that recipe (butterscotch chips, peanut butter, protein and peanuts) and tweaked it to make it even tastier for our family.

I decided to test out some different ingredients and after several rounds came up with this recipe.  It’s seriously amazing.  When I make a batch, they disappear so fast.  They are obviously not low calorie, but they pack a protein punch.

Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings 24 balls

Ingredients

  • 1 bag chips chocolate, peanut butter, butterscotch, any flavor will work
  • 2 scoops chocolate protein
  • 1/2 cup oats (ground)
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup peanuts

Instructions

  • Melt chips in a glass bowl in the microwave. I use about 3/4-7/8 of the bag of chips as opposed to the whole bag. Microwave at stop to stir every 15-30 seconds to prevent scorching.
  • Once fully melted, add protein and oats until well combined.
  • Add peanut butter then peanuts.
  • Refrigerate immediately until ready to serve.

Notes

My preference is this chocolate protein from GNC.

  • This is so good!!! Peanut butter and chocolate is such a delicious combination anyway.

  • They look so good! I can’t wait to try these!

    • Do you use a certain brand of peanut butter, chocolate chips, oats or peanuts, or just whatever you can find?

      • Angela Lanter

Honestly, I use whatever I have in my pantry!
As far as protein, I love the GNC chocolate protein: https://shopstyle.it/l/bicRW

        • I don’t think I have any of the ingredients, except peanut butter maybe and not even much of that I think lol, so I have to get all of the ingredients. Protein powders are a little pricey, but I really want to make these!

Silly question, did you have to grind the oats and they came that way? I was looking them up (never bought them before) so I don’t know much about them

I ground the oats in my nutri-bullet. You don’t have to add in oats, you can leave them out if you prefer. My hubby prefers them without oats, but I like them with oats!

Thank you! I really want to try them, but may have to wait until the protein powder goes on sale as it’s pricey and I wouldn’t use it for much else ?
