For Mother’s Day this year, Matt took me on a shopping trip to the Louis Vuitton store in Beverly Hills and let me pick out my new favorite handbag, the Louis Vuitton Graceful MM. 

Isn’t she purty?!?

The Louis Vuitton Graceful MM is around the same size as the LV Neverfull MM. 

I also purchased an adjustable shoulder strap, the VVN strap, for myself that trip. 

The new VVN shoulder strap converts the Graceful into a crossbody bag…  Which I la la LOVE!

Let me tell you, that added shoulder strap is a GAME CHANGER. 

I will also use the VVN shoulder strap on my Speedy 25, which will maybe make me like it more.??‍♀️

Frequently, I receive emails and direct messages regarding the VVN strap for the Graceful MM.  I think it’s because the Graceful MM is comparable in size to the Neverfull but adding a strap makes it so much more functional.

Why I Love This Bag

After I filmed this video, I flew from Los Angeles to Ohio using my Graceful MM as a travel bag. 

The Graceful MM fit everything that both Kenny and I needed, so no need for an extra diaper bag.

The extra strap I purchased made a huge difference, especially while carrying a baby on my hip. 

The size is so functional, y’all.  Truly the perfect travel bag.

I get questions constantly about wearing my Graceful MM crossbody.

My first LV purchase was a used Speedy bag and it’s easily my least favorite and least used bag that I own.

If you’re going to invest in a designer bag, be sure to wait till you can buy the bag you really want.  I got in a hurry and bought the first bag I could afford and have never loved it.

In fact, I need to just sell my Speedy 25 because it’s doing nothing but gathering dust in my closet.

I think that a lot of women end up doing the same thing.

So I gotta know…

Do you prefer the Graceful MM or the Neverfull?

For a diaper bag, I definitely prefer the Neverfull. For every day, I prefer the Graceful MM.

Do you like the interior of the Graceful MM?

I do. It’s nice that I can use my ToteSavvy divider in my Neverfull, because I love all of the different compartments, but I don’t miss that with the Graceful MM for some reason.

Do you recommend adding the strap to the Graceful MM to convert to a crossbody bag?

Yes. 100%. Get the strap!

        I just got Graceful Mm. I actually went to buy Neverfull but fell in love with graceful at the store. Everywhere I go and even online, I see neverfull is more popular.

        My question- how is graceful holding up after using it for few years. Is it too soft that It forms a structure in the center and dupes down. Please advise.

          I just ordered my Graceful MM and am so excited. However, I’m worried about how it holds up since it’s a hobo bag. Have you found it to crease since it isn’t as stiff as the Never Full?

    Have you tried putting the LV key charm on your Graceful? Do you think it would work or would it be overkill with the luggage tag?

          Hi Shelby! I went into LV in Cleveland after Christmas with my bag and they said it’s definitely the VVN that I’m using as my crossbody strap. 🙂

    I just bought the Graceful MM in NYC this weekend and also was looking for a strap to make it a crossbody now that I have it home…and I too, was wondering what strap you have 🙁 Didn’t they email you a receipt? Or take your info so you are in the system? They did for me.. Maybe they will have the info on the strap you purchased?

    Hi, wondering if you have problems with the shoulder strap sliding off? I’ve been debating on the DE or the one you purchased. Not sure if the DE strap makes it more slippery or if the slipping off the shoulder is just a general problem 🙂 Thanks!

    Hi I was thinking about purchasing this bag but was wondering if the strap is so short you feel like the bags up in your arm pit (lol if that makes sense) that’s my only concern that the strap is a tad shorter than a neverfull.

    Happy 2020! I am so glad you did this review. A close friend made me second guess my purchase of the Graceful MM in mono, indicating that the print was outdated and tacky. When I saw someone as classy as you with it, I knew I’d made the right decision!!! My bag is scheduled to arrive on Jan 7th. ? Did you ever figure out which strap you have? There are two on the website. Also- I agree with you about the Dermier (in dark brown). I don’t like it.

          I use the Neverfull primarily when traveling or as a diaper bag. Sometimes I carry it for everyday use when I just want a lighter colored baf. 🙂

          I prefer the Neveerfull if you have kids or want to use as a diaper bag. Graceful is my preference otherwise. 🙂

    I have been going back and forth over whether to buy a neverfull GM for months… Something was holding me back.
    I only carry totes, I like big bags; in fact, I’ve carried the same beautifully worn leather tote religiously for 21 years.
    It just seems like EVERYONE has a neverfull though, ya know? And the straps… are so… skinny?
    Then I saw one photo of you holding the graceful with the strap and I said “holy s**t, there’s my bag” ordered 5 mins later…thank you. Lol.

    Hi! Thank you so much for your review! I am debating between the Never full mm and the graceful mm. I would order the graceful in a heartbeat (I think I like this style a little better for me) except I have a toddler and use a large tote now as a diaper bag and wanted something to store his things effectively in my next purse as well. I’m worried I won’t be able to get to things as easily with the graceful. I’m really torn! Would you say the graceful still works to keep snacks and a couple other toddler/kid essentials? Are things really hard to get to, or not really? If/when I have another baby, I would probably just use a diaper bag in addition to my purse because newborns just have too much gear not to have a separate bag for them IMO. So I’m thinking about the graceful more for those toddler/kid years once they don’t take bottles anymore. How do you like it for holding essential items for your little? Sorry for the long post! Thank you so much in advance!

      Hey Paige! Hmmm… The Nevefull makes for a great diaper bag with an insert. The Graceful is more of a mommy meets diaper bag, so definitely not going to stay as organized.

    Hi! Love your blog. I’m making my first LV purchase and have decided on the Graceful for sure. My biggest decision is MM or PM. I have older kids so don’t need to carry anything for them, just an everyday bag. Do you think the MM is huge or a good size for everyday regular use? I love the MM in your photos.

    The Graceful PM is actually under the Christmas tree. I’m so excited, as this is my first Louis Vuitton bag. Definitely will look into getting the strap now, to turn it into a cross body bag.

        Hi Angela. I have the Graceful and want to get the crossbody strap but I read that the VVN is hard to get on the Graceful D ring. Did you find that problem? I don’t want the metal to get all scratched up. But I do an on leaving it on there once I add it. Love your blog. Lisa

    They now only sell a small 0.6” vvn strap! I don’t know if that would work as well with this. What is your strap? It looks perfect!!
