A Day at the French Market

A Day at the French Market

This past Sunday my hubby & I had a couple of free hours, so we decided to hop on our scooter and take a ride down to the French Market. The French Market is a large “open-air” style in the French Quarter.. Did you know it’s the oldest market of it’s kind in the country? There’s so many cool things to see when you’re there from cajun style foods to clothing to housewares to musical instruments. You’re also right next to Cafe Du Monde so it’s the perfect time to stop for a order of hot beignets covered in powdered sugar!

Here are a few photos of one of my favorite looks this Fall as well as a few random amazing shots from the Market.

Can we just talk about these burgundy shoes for a second? I got so many compliments on them! The color burgundy is my favorite color this season. I’m not able to wear most shades of red (or yellows because they’re not in my color season!) but burgundy accessories are the perfect pop of color for Autumn!

Gorgeous! Question for you – how long are you able to walk around in heels like that? Sadly, ones that high I can only wear for about ten minutes unless I'm sitting. 🙁 Any tips on making high heels more comfortable/wearable?

Thanks! So I ended up wearing these booties for several hours that day and I paid for it.. I had two huge blisters. But it was my fault. I didn't wear any socks or anything. So if shoes are rubbing because they're too tight, I take them to a shoe store and have them stretched.. It costs like $5 and it completely changes the feel of the shoe. I also wear those "no show liners" because they act as a liner between your foot and the shoe and help prevent the rubbing that causes blisters. This is my favorite pair that I get from Target: http://www.target.com/p/merona-women-s-4-pack-coolmax-liner-sock-buff-brown-black-os/-/A-13331791#prodSlot=large_1_30
      I hope this helps!
