This Little Light of Mine

This Little Light of Mine

This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.?

This past week I’ve taken a step back to allow others to shine. To speak up, tell their stories and share wisdom. During that time I’ve listened and learned. My biggest takeaway? We’ve gotta do better.

I was raised understanding that we are all God’s children. Period. It makes me heartsick when you see the injustices, violence and hatred that so clearly separates our country. In my home, we stand up against evil. We support those who are hurting. We stand with those who have been victims of wrongdoings. We love our neighbors. We grieve with those that grieve. We support our Black brothers and sisters always.

Kenny is our little legacy. Change starts in our hearts, then is taught in our homes. Kenny will be taught to love, listen and stand up for what is right. Shine bright like Jesus, little one.

The light shines in the
darkness; and the darkness will
not overcome it. John 1:5

Love everything about this! We have messed up so much as a nation, knowingly and unknowingly. And now we have this amazing opportunity to lament together, grow together and do better together, it is totally a God sized thing. Thank you for sharing your heart with us.

It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with mental health. When cops see one race commit enough of the crimes, the cops who already have mental health problems get worse and they begin to see that in every member of that race thanks to PTSD. God does not separate us by our black brothers and sisters, our white brothers and sisters, etc. we are all his children and he loves us equally regardless of race and gender. What happened to the victims is tragic and cops definitely need to be punished and get proper mental health guidance (which I understand is still not happening).

But the terrorist organizations revolving around race are just using the late victims experiences as opportunities to spew their Political agendas and committing even crimes just as bad. They are not interested in equality at all. A wise woman once said: “When you constantly see yourself as a victim, you will ultimately become your own oppressor.”

It doesn’t matter what a few mentally ill members of society thinks, God does not discriminate and loves us all equally and we always have a place in his heart.

If you look for the light, you will often find it. But if you look for the dark, it is all you will ever see.

Kenny is so big and gorgeous. Hope Hello Baby comes back one day!
