Cute Disney World Outfits

Cute Disney World Outfits

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been to Disney, so I definitely have experience putting together cute Disney World outfits.

We just traveled to Orlando in February for Matt to make an appearance at MegaCon, so we thought it was the perfect time to make a Disney trip for the whole family.

If you missed my review of the resort we stayed at, The Evermore, then read about it in this blog post.

HOW TO PACK

First thing to consider is the time of year you will be traveling.

I waited to outfit plan and even start thinking about what to pack until the week before we left so I could get a good idea of what the weather forecast would be.

Thankfully, we chose a fabulous time of year to visit Florida. The temperatures were still mild and rain was minimal.

Just know that most likely any time of year that you need to fully expect there to be rain in Orlando. Pack your rain gear and definitely don’t forget the ponchos. Buy your ponchos before you travel so you’re not dropping the big bucks to buy them inside the parks.

WHAT SHOULD A WOMAN WEAR TO DISNEY WORLD?

Keep in mind how many steps you’ll be getting each day… Approximately one million.

No, but really, your feet need to be comfortable, and so does the rest of your body.

I was sure to pack my favorite sweats, jeans, and sneakers. The mornings and evenings were cooler, so I layered for comfort. That way I could add to or take away as needed depending on the temperature.

Clothing Must-Haves:

  • Mouse ears
  • Denim – pants or shorts
  • Comfy walking shoes
  • Sweatshirt or jacket
  • Ponchos
  • Socks
  • Undies that won’t ride up
  • Swimwear
  • Sunnies
  • Basics that layer easily

CUTE DISNEY WORLD OUTFIT IDEAS

Let’s take a look at the cute Disney World outfits I wore during our trip.

Because we were only scheduled to stay four days originally, I packed super light.

This sweatsuit came in clutch. I was able to mix and match the top and bottoms with other pieces to create different looks.

I focused on basic bottoms that could be reworn and tops that were comfy.

Usually I plan fun Disney tees, but this trip was calling for cooler weather, so I stuck to what I already had on hand that would keep me feeling comfortable.

The cool thing about packing light is that you have to get creative to not repeat outfits, which totally gets me out of my comfort zone.

Typically I love to shop while traveling, but there’s not a ton of options that don’t include Mickey Mouse ears.😂

CAN YOU WEAR BACKPACKS IN DISNEY?

Matt wore his backpack to carry bigger necessities such as drinks, ponchos, etc.

As you can see in every photo, I opted for a fanny pack. I like to keep my money, phone, lip balm, Advil, bandaids, and hand sanitizer close by.

Don’t overpack your handbag, be sure to take only what you know you need. You will be lugging around that bag all day long, so try to keep it light.

You can bring a water bottle and snacks into Disney World.

DO PEOPLE WEAR JEANS TO DISNEY WORLD?

Absolutely! I wore jeans most days because the weather called for it. So did Matt.

Be sure to wear jeans that you feel good walking, sitting, and moving in because you will be doing all of the things.

IS IT OK TO WEAR A SKIRT TO DISNEY WORLD?

You totally could wear a skirt, but I wouldn’t. I don’t like the idea of a skirt blowing up and showing everyone my undies on a ride, lol.

PRO TIP:

If you want a photo in front of the castle with no one behind you, schedule to snap your pics around parade or fireworks time because most people are occupied elsewhere.

CAN YOU WEAR FLIP FLOPS TO DISNEY?

You can wear flip flops, but I would never recommend it.

Not only will you be clocking +20,000 steps, but you’ll be in crowds with a very high likelihood of getting your toes crunched.

Save the flops for the resort and opt for your dad sneakers.
