If you’ve been literally anywhere on social media, then you already know it’s that time of year again. The time when bloggers go on and on and ON about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. For the longest time, I didn’t get the hype. “Who even cares?” I would say… But then I got it. This is the only time any retailer marks down brand new products up to 50% off. When I say brand new, I mean items no one has ever even seen before.
Now, that’s cool. Because, when do you ever see things debut ON SALE? Never, would be the answer. Once I realized that the hype was legit, I was all in.
Regardless if you love the sale or don’t get it at all, the tons and tons of bloggers everywhere telling you NEED this and that can get, well, annoying. I don’t want to be that girl. I’m only going to share the pieces that I actually love. The ones I brought home with me, or want to.
I didn’t grow up with a ton of money. I learned from an early age how to shop and find a great deal, so I love that this sale gives us real girls an opportunity to snag the newest styles for less. So I want to show the best practical pieces that anyone can afford.
Yesterday I took a trip up to the Nordstrom in Cleveland to shop the sale early. The store was like a ghost town and it was MARVELOUS. It was as if I had the whole place to myself! I got to see every department without having experiencing any Black Friday throw downs. The sale this year is good, but you’ll see a lot of pieces from years prior…
look who’s back
Free People Flowy Back Top: This year’s top is even cuter than year’s past. You know I had to buy the updated version, because no one does a flowy top quite like Free People. I picked up this top in Ivory in as XS.
BP. Tee: Each year, BP. releases it’s $11 tee. This year is no different, except it’s a V-neck- the past two years’ have been a raw edge scoop neck style.
BP. Long Sleeve Tee: BP. also releases a long sleeve version for only $15. The only difference this year is the soft v-neck vs. scoop neck style.
AG Jeans: The only time I’ll splurge on AG denim for myself is during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I now have three pairs of these jeans, they’re THAT GOOD, y’all. Even on sale, these are still a splurge. However, I have been wearing my favorite pair for three years now. And I’ve worn them to death. Three years of heavy wear, now that’s great quality denim.
BP. Cardigan: It wouldn’t be the NSALE without this staple. It’s $31 and comes in 5 different colors.
Faux Leather Leggings: Because it wouldn’t be Fall without them.
Tory Burch Bag: Another item I’ll only buy during the NSALE.
Caslon Round Neck Tee: A classic tee that comes in NINE different colors/prints.
What’s Back This Year
what I bought
Now on to the newbies. Here’s what came home with me this sale…
what I bought Matt & Kenny
I picked up a few staple pieces for the family. Tucker + Tate make the best baby jeggings ever. They’re so soft and stretchy, they’re the perfect pant for a toddler on the go.
As for Matt, I wait till the NSALE to stock up on his bougie jeans. My husband won’t wear jeans unless they fit the three S’s: Soft, Stretchy and Super comfortable. The denim below are some of the only ones I’ve found that actually meet his approval.
The golf shorts I found this sale are, dare I say, even nicer than Matt’s beloved Lululemon shorts?
What are you shopping for? Is there anything you have your eye on? Let me know in the comments!
I absolutely love it! I love your style! So classy but comfortable at the same time!
