First off, let’s just call a spade a spade… All I can see in these photos is my nail color. Granted, these photos are super old (they were taken the first week of June!) Maybe my brain is programmed for Fall right now that I can only comprehend neutrals and reds for nails, lol!
So yeah… This post is way overdue! This sweater is now sold out, but that’s beside the point. I wanted to still use these photos to show how to style one article of clothing two different ways. I did something similar with this tunic when I styled it to create two different looks. I like doing posts around versatile pieces because I realize that sometimes when we buy higher priced items (such as sweaters can sometimes be) then we want to get our money and wear out of those pieces. The best way to do that is to get creative with our wardrobe.
I found this sweater and it’s basically an exact dupe for what I’m wearing in today’s post. Because of the looser, longer fit, you can easily pair it with many different pieces to create several different outfits. When you wear transitional pieces like this sweater, you can easily change your look from day to night by adding a mini skirt or removing shorts to make it a dress. It’s as if you’re wearing a completely different outfit without really having to change your clothes. Let’s quickly count the ways you could style a sweater like this:
- Worn tucked into boyfriend jeans.
- Worn sloppy tucked into skinny jeans.
- Worn sloppy tucked into faux leather shorts (shown above).
- Worn with black leggings.
- Worn unbelted as dress with denim jacket.
- Worn belted as dress.
- Worn tucked into mini skirt.
Y’all! That’s 7 different outfits all created around one hero piece, a long sweater. Chances are that not many people would ever even realize that you’re wearing the same sweater for all of those different looks. #Winning
