The more I’ve studied and learned about makeup, the more I understand that beautiful makeup begins with beautiful skin. Whether you want to or not, you have to take good care of your skin in order to not only have clear skin now, but to prevent future damage. I personally spend a lot of time and money on my skin (my Snapchat account is a clear testimony to this!) and I honestly look at it as an investment. An investment for fresh, clear skin now, as well as an investment towards minimizing aging in the future.
Sephora is one of my very favorite places to shop for many reasons. I love that I can go in and immediately find someone who is super knowledgable about beauty and who is willing to show me exactly how to use a product. I always recommend that my friends, family and followers go in to Sephora and get their skin professionally matched for foundation, concealers, brows, and more. But I also suggest that you go into your local store to discuss your skin type, what skincare product combination will work best for you and why.
What I specifically want to focus on in this post is the selection of natural ingredient products that are available at Sephora. If you have sensitive skin or are conscious about not only what you put into your body, but what you put on it… Then this post is for you, girlfriend.
First up, let’s talk oils. If you’re anything like me (and you have even the slightest oily skin) then the thought of slathering additional oil on your face makes you want to run for the hills. Let me be the first to tell you, fear not. Oils are fabulous! This Luna Sleeping Night Oil from Sunday Riley is amazing for all skin types. It contains lactic acid (winning ingredient!) to help provide that glow all of us women so desperately seek.
If you’re a mask fan like me (I use masks 3-5 times a week) then keep reading because you’re going to like this… I prefer a charcoal mask on my angry skin days, and let’s be honest, I’m in the middle of an angry skin month right now. The Boscia Charcoal Pore Pudding contains two types of charcoal (both black and white) which helps to detoxify your skin without the irritation from added chemicals. My Snapchat Fam also knows how much I love my sheet masks. This coconut gel mask is calming, natural and hydrating.
Thank you to Sephora for partnering with Hello Gorgeous for this post. All opinions are my own.

apparently not all sephoras are created equally. pretty much everyone who works at my local Sephora have no idea what they’re talking about. they’d rather convince you to buy the most expensive product than the one that is right for what you’re looking for. and none of them know how to teach proper make up application. both my mother and I have gotten custom makeovers there and they’ve both been awful.
