I want to kick off this post with a sincere thank you for all the sweet comments, emails and Snapchats about my last blog post talking about my current skin issues due to hormonal problems. Clearly I’m not the first woman to have this problem, so I really appreciate each of you taking the time to give me suggestions and tips from your own experiences. Y’all are seriously the best, Gorgeous Fam!
The past two Sundays, Matt & I have made the drive out to Malibu to spend the day with friends. There’s just something about a day spent at the beach. There’s one major difference about East and West Coast beaches that you don’t realize until you’ve experienced both… The temperature. It just seems to always feel chilly in Malibu to me, especially at night. Actually at night, it’s just downright cold! So if you opened this post and thought, “Why the heck is she wearing so many layers at the beach?!” It’s because you really do need at least a sweater this time of year in Malibu.
On the past two Sundays, we saw a school of dolphins swim right past us both days. I’ve always dreamed of swimming with dolphins, so seeing them in the ocean is always super exciting for me. 🙂
I’m loving this fringe cardigan for cool summer nights because it has an oversized fit, which I love. The fringing detail goes all the way across the back, which is a really cute touch. This sweater is under $50 and is fab quality, so I highly suggest grabbing one because it will transition perfectly for Fall.
I know I’ve talked about these moccasins several times, but y’all… I’m obsessed. These are seriously the most comfy pair of flats I’ve ever owned. The cardigan is lovely Angela, looks very soft and comfy. I have never been to Malibu sounds lovely and have noted the chill in the evening! 🙂 Chris and I were in Majorca at the start of May, only 2 days of sun unfortunately but Chris feels the cold very easily and was wearing a flease zipper on the beach! I am quite used to different temperatures and teaching classes outside in all weathers, I used to teach for the British Military Fitness in Parks for 6 years, I was in the Territorial Army (Signals Regiment) for 9 years and was also a Personal Trainer in my Reigment. But after a while you get bored of teaching the same thing and need a change.
I swam with Dolphins in Barbardos once and fed the baby Dolphins little fishies ….it was a lot of fun 🙂
Your Jewellery pieces are also gorgeous, I am always looking out for unusual necklaces, rings etc. I wear a few Michael Kor items and have a lovely white gold and rose gold key necklace from Swarovski and a beautiful hanging band necklace that Chris bought me for my birthday last year from Swarvoski.
This weekend as Chris has been working away I think we will have a quiet one, maybe go for a run and a swim and watch some movies at home and cook dinner 🙂
