Drugstore Makeup Tutorial + Save & Splurge Products

Drugstore Makeup Tutorial + Save & Splurge Products

I love a good deal.  Finding a drugstore beauty product that delivers the same results as a high end (and high dollar!) product is a major score in my book.  I’m by no means a product snob.  In fact, I almost always prefer a drugstore mascara over a high end mascara (the one exception to that is tarte’s Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara).

I’m constantly trying new beauty products, so this video was fun to do because it gave me a reason to try new products in basically every category.  Even though I have more makeup than I know what to do with, I get comfortable with my favorites and I forget to try anything else sometimes.

From my experience, I’ve learned where to spend and where to save my money when it comes to makeup.  Here’s a quick check list of makeup categories with one example of my favorite products linked.

  • Drugstore: I love No7 foundation! Have you tried it? It covers to well. I use it with the No7 matte primer and my make up stays all day.
High end: I love it all, obviously, but right now my favorite is Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara. I have small blond lashes (super annoying) and this mascara curls them and lifts lol.

I haven’t tried many Boots products! They weren’t available here in the states until Target started carrying them.
You’re the second Smashbox mascara fan on this post! I need to try it!!

  • High end: mascara: Smashbox full exposure and Smashbox x-rated mascara, they’re awesome!!! Pur-lisse bb cream has amazing coverage!
Drugstore: Maybelline baby skin primer works great and just as well as any high end brand primer in my opinion. Have you tried it? I use voluminous because you recommended in your videos and fell inn loveeeee with it!!!

You’re obviously a Smashbox fan! 🙂 I love their foundation.
I haven’t tried Baby Skin yet because I’ve heard such mixed reviews! Voluminous is a game changer, isn’t it?!

    Hi Angela ????

How are you? I was wondering if you could suggest your favorite drugstore and/or high quality beauty store brand (Sephora, Ulta,) of toner you use?

I heard Simple skincare their toner is great but looking for other choices as well, thanks you and God bless ????

Some of my most favorite products are from the drugstore! I love how you can go there, buy things like crazy and not feel guilty (sometimes ? )!
