A lot of women seem to shy away from floral prints during the colder seasons, but clearly I’m not one of those girls.  I personally feel that flowers are appropriate all year long, especially in warmer area, like Southern California, where we see blooms every month of the year.  This particular floral print feels especially winter-ish with the dark colors and black background of the print.  Although floral is typically so very feminine, pairing this top with a vegan leather skirt makes for a more neutral look while still feeling very party ready or even girly, if you will.

Because this is wintertime, I tend to want to wear boots or booties over heels in almost every situation.  When pairing booties with a shorter skirt, the question that I have is, what kind of socks do you wear?  I’ve never been one to wear closed shoes (except heels) without some sort of layer in between.  I’m a pantyhose wearer, and have been my whole life.  In Ohio, an added pair of pantyhose or tights underneath your pants makes a world of difference in the frigid winter temperatures.  Here in LA, not really needed, like ever.  So what’s a girl to do?  I found no-show socks and they are a total game changer.  They’re that same, thin material as pantyhose and, if you find the right pair, it’s as if you’re wearing nothing at all.  You can find them basically anywhere, so grab a pair, if you haven’t already, to wear with your favorite booties.

Great outfit! I hope you had a good birthday and had lots of celebrations. Apparently boots and booties are a big thing in winter they are all anyone wears and sandals in summer that is why I think footless pantyhose are the greatest invention ever.
