Now that the holidays are in full swing, it’s time to think about what we’ll be wearing to those upcoming holiday events and parties. I love getting all dolled up for a night on the town, and even better, a Christmas night on the town. This gorgeous little black cocktail dress from Rachel Allan is the perfect look for any cocktail party on your agenda. The lace and beaded mock turtleneck top has the perfect amount of sparkle to make you the star of the night. I chose my favorite winter color this season, wine, to pair with this pretty little number. I love the pop of color with the heels and lips.
To play up the sparkle for any holiday party, add statement earrings to amp up the drama. A necklace isn’t necessary with the high neckline, but the coordinating bracelet completes the look.
As for beauty, I chose to go with fresh, simple makeup with a heavy emphasis on the lips. When I choose to go with a bold lip color, I often like to downplay other parts of the face to really makes the lips stand out. You could easily add on a dramatic set of false lashes and create a gorgeous eye and lip combo. My advice is to balance the bold with simple choices.
