Seven Things

Seven Things

We’re back in Nola baby!  This trip is a little longer than last week’s (thank goodness!)
So…  Here are seven things on my mind this week:
1.  This flu going around is No. Joke.  It truly knocked me down for the count for a couple of days earlier this week with a high fever and the most intense chills and body aches.  This heating pad, mounds of super comfy blankets, Alka Seltzer Cold and Oregano Oil got me through it.  I’m still not 100%, but I’m much, much better than I was!  While I was sick, I finally caught the JLo HBO concert special and was blown away (as usual!) by her.  I just want to be her.  Her body is INSANE.  And her makeup and hair?  Girlfriend is always on point.  Always.
2.  Rebecca Minkoff is having their Winter Weekend Sale which is up to 50% off!  I’m absolutely eyeing this bagthis walletthis clutch & this bag
3.  I’m really loving The Bachelor!  I swore off the show after Sean’s season (sorry, but I was hardcore team Lindsey that season lol.)  But my two girlfriends, Becca & Sammi, are on this season, and it’s especially fun to watch when you have that sort of connection  ðŸ™‚
4.  I love being in New Orleans.  After living here last year, I find myself missing so many things about this charming city.  The European influence is everywhere you look.  I miss the charm and most importantly, the food.  If you’ve never been to New Orleans, you’re seriously missing out.  The people have such a pride for their town that you can’t help but appreciate.  A couple of my favorite spots are K-Paul’s Louisiana Kitchen, Rum House (best tacos in the world!), Upperline, Creole Creamery, Cochon Butcher, and the list goes on and on!
5.  I’m probably one of the biggest Old Hollywood lovers you’ll meet.  If you didn’t already know that, then you clearly don’t follow me on Facebook…  So head on over and like my Hello Gorgeous Facebook page now!  Anyways, I’ve been on quite a classic movie watching spree recently, and loving every second of it.  The movie I found quite enjoyable (in a very kitschy way!) was “Bus Stop” with Marilyn Monroe.  It wasn’t an award winner or anything, but it was lighthearted and cute…  Had very much the same feel as “Some Like It Hot.”
6.  Just so you understand my old soul, I should probably share another of my very favorite past times…  Puzzles.  I grew up doing puzzles with my mom, Mawmaw & aunt and I still enjoy them just as much now as when I was a little girl.  I just completed this Thomas Kinkade Cinderella puzzle and had so much fun with all the beautiful, bright colors.
7.  I love throw pillows.  I want to get lost in a huge mound of super soft and comfy pillows and sleep forever.  I’m loving this “Let’s Get Cozy” pillow and “All You Need is Love” embroidered pillow both from Pottery Barn and so perfect for the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday.  I’m also loving this cute pillow (my Mawmaw used to always sing this little diddy to me when I was little!) and this little “Heart You” pillow is just too cute to pass up from Nordstrom.

It's great you are feeling better. Puzzles are a great thing to do while you are sick. I was a puzzle fanatic while growing up. My mom would even glue the puzzles together when I was done with them. They do make nice wall hangings. I like the Disney puzzle I am surrounded by Disney I went to London and Scotland last year and The Disney store was the only store I got excited about over there I was so mad it was closed.
