Today’s look posted on my Instagram is a super casual outfit I threw together for a little French Quarter exploring.
Matt had a super early call time so he wrapped early enough for us to grab a little breakfast, so we ventured over to the well known spot, The Ruby Slipper Cafe. I always judge a breakfast spot by it’s coffee, and this place passed the test. We had a delicious meal and walked the Quarter a bit. We visited a few shops and had a pleasant afternoon. We finished the day off with an amazing dinner at Emeril’s NOLA Restaurant.
Okay, enough about our day, let’s talk about the important stuff… Fashion! I firmly believe that every woman needs a great chambray shirt in their closet. It’s the perfect transitional piece for any season. This chambray shirt I grabbed from J. Crew during their Christmas sale and I’m mighty proud of that purchase. I love the fit and shade. I decided to layer it with my mustard pullover sweater (which is a killer deal for $15!) and I loved the outcome. A preppy look that kept me warm on this chilly day.

Love the layering with the shirt. would never have thought of that colour with a denim shirt.
