Last night, we had the honor of attending The Humane Society Of The United States 60th Anniversary Benefit Gala. Matt & I are crazy animal lovers, so it makes sense that we would go! If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, then you already know that our dog is my fur baby. I’ve always loved animals my whole life, especially dogs!

For my hair, I used this photo of Blake Lively for inspiration:
Here’s what my hair turned out like:
I just braided two small sections on each side of my part and teased the crown of my head.
I then gathered all of my hair behind the braids into a ponytail. I then added two additional small braids in the ponytail. I used clear elastic bands to secure each braid. I gather my ponytail into a messy bun and pinned it in place (this was the most difficult part, getting the bun to actually look good while still showing the braids in it.) Then I took my two side braids and pulled them back and wrapped them around my bun and secured them in place. I then took my hair left hanging around my face, in front of my braids, and loosely pulled them back to partly hide the braids and secured them in place around the bun also. I used the end of a teasing comb to lift my crown for some volume. I used some heavy hold hairspray to keep my style in place. That was it!
