My Favorite Must Haves for First Trimester
Ah, the first trimester. A magical time of growing life, and also… exhaustion, nausea, and all sorts of weird and wonderful body changes. As a 2nd-time mama, I’ve been around the block, but this first trimester still threw me for a loop. So, let’s talk must-haves, the things that truly saved my sanity (and maybe yours, too!). And yes, you can find most, if not all, of these treasures on Amazon.
Be sure to watch my YouTube video showing off all these amazing products at the bottom of this blog post!
Magnesium Bath Soak
A warm bath with magnesium bath soak is a total game-changer. Those early pregnancy aches? Soothed.
This soak also helps me to wind down before bed when sleep feels elusive. This is perfect for any expecting mother looking for some natural remedies.
Folic Acid Gummies
Let’s not forget the basics! Folic acid gummies are a must for prenatal health.
I found the gummies easier to remember than pills. Making taking vitamins enjoyable can make a big difference. Just be sure to check with your doctor to ensure you’re getting the right dosage for your needs.

Lemon Drop Candies
Keeping lemon drop candies on hand helps combat nausea. The sourness seems to settle your stomach and provide a distraction.
These candies are a simple, portable solution that can be easily carried in a purse or kept in the car. These are perfect for on-the-go relief.

Sea-Bands
If you’re prone to motion sickness, Sea-Bands can be a game-changer. These acupressure wristbands help alleviate nausea. I found them particularly helpful during car rides. They’re drug-free and easy to use.
Eye Mask
Speaking of sleep, an eye mask blocks out any light and helps me drift off easier. Ideal for daytime naps or early mornings. Investing in quality sleep is key during this time.
Neck Pillow
Neck pain was one of my absolute worst symptoms during my first trimester this pregnancy. My OB referred me to a physical therapist, which helped a ton, but I had to find solutions at home to combat the pain as well.
The neck pain became so bad that it began to turn into migraines, which is unbeable during pregnancy since you can only take Tylenol.
I found this cervical traction neck pillow on Amazon and it has been a total game changer. I lie on it, set my timer for 10 minutes, and let the stretching do the magic. It helps so much.
If you suffer from neck, upper back, or shoulder issues, I seriously cannot recommend this miracle worker enough. It’s under $20 and worth every single penny.

And on the head tension front, an ice mask is a lifesaver. It provided cooling relief during those pounding headaches that can sometimes come with hormonal changes. Keep one in the freezer for instant use. It’s especially great for puffy eyes, too.
