Spa Night at Home Essentials

Spa Night at Home Essentials

What better time to give yourself a little TLC then when you’re sick with a cold?  Or better yet, when you’re stuck at home on a Saturday night with a cold.  Last night was that exact scenario for me.  In fact, I had to skip a night out with friends because I was under the weather still…  And the worse part is they went to a restaurant I’ve been dying to go to.  Wahhhh!
Alright, I’m done pouting.  For now.
What does a spa night at home look like for you?  I get my nails done professionally, so my spa nights don’t typically include a mani or pedi, but those are of course classic ingredients for a solid pamper session.  Here’s the photo I posted on my Instagram last night…  Go follow me on Instagram if you’re not already!
These are a few of my spa night essentials (complete list is below!)  I’m a bath girl, so my spa night centers around a relaxing soak in the tub.  When my body is achey or I’m having neck or back pain, an epsom salt bath is a lifesaver.  I really love this lavender scented epsom salt, but you can easily make your own at home if you’re not able to find this in stores.  I just mix approx. 10-20 drops of lavender essential oil per 1 cup of regular epsom salt (depending on how fragrant you want your bath to be.)  I’m a big fan of lavender essential oil.  I love using it at bedtime to help me calm down and relax.
You’re not big into essential oils?  That’s okay, because I don’t think many people could turn down a relaxing bubble bath!  This Lollia bubble bath smells divine!  I so enjoy a hot cup of tea and a good book to kick back and relax.  Oh!  I almost forgot that I light as many candles as possible, it just makes the room feel that much more like a real spa.  After, I love to snuggle up in my cozy, soft bathrobe and fuzzy socks
Quick tip!  For super softs feet, at bedtime I like to slather on a ton of Aquaphor, especially on my dry spots, like my heels (they sometimes even start to crack!  Yuck!!) Then I put on a soft, fuzzy pair of socks and let it soak in while I sleep.
For a spa night, I typically apply a super hydrating hair mask and put my hair up in a bun to allow it to just soak in and do a little magic.  Most times, I’ll leave the conditioner in all night and rinse it out in the morning.  One of my favorite hair masks is the Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask
When it comes to my skin, that’s truly the main focus of the evening for me.  Starting with a clean face, I like to sit under my facial steamer for 20 minutes or so.  This is not only great for your skin, but amazing for your sinuses when you have a cold…  Double bonus!
I like to safely extract any clogged pores then apply a great facial mask.  I’m a BIG fan of the GlamGlow Mud line, if you haven’t tried any of these masks, be sure to give them a try.  My current favorite from the line is the ThirstyMud Hydrating Treatment.
Ladies, don’t forget those pearly whites!  Your first impression oftentimes begins with your smile, so be sure those teeth are white.  I’ve been using Crest Whitestrips for years, and they work very well for me.  Hey, if it ain’t broke, why fix it, right?  🙂

I hope you feel better soon. When you travel climate and weather change can attribute to sickness. I got your package but was a little curious as to why there was a priority express mail envelope in there.

Thanks!! Sorry about that… That must've been placed in the package inadvertently by the shipper!

It's a balm that works wonders! I just put it on my heels twice a day or whenever I remember!
