Burger Sliders with Hawaiian Rolls

Burger Sliders with Hawaiian Rolls

I love an easy weeknight meal and these burger sliders with Hawaiian rolls did not disappoint.

These easy cheeseburger sliders with Hawaiian rolls make the perfect school night meal for the family. Just pair it with your favorite sides and your kids will absolutely love them!

This cheeseburger sliders recipe pairs perfectly with air fryer french fries.

On my most recent grocery store run, I grabbed a package of King’s Hawaiian pretzel slider buns because we absolutely love their full sized pretzel hamburger buns.

Typically, when I have King’s Hawaiian rolls on hand, I make our favorite ham and cheese poppy seed sliders (recipe is in my cookbook) but I decided to try something a little different.

Since I already had a pound of grass fed ground beef on hand, I decided to make mini cheeseburgers because I knew Kenny would love them.

So, I hopped on Tiktok to get some ideas. After watching several videos, I decided to do my own thing and this is what I came up with thanks to the inspiration I saw.

Burger Sliders with Hawaiian Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Hawaiian sweet rolls or pretzel slider buns
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • sliced cheese
  • shredded cheese
  • condiments
  • 2 Tbsp butter (melted)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350º.
  • Brown ground beef with any burger seasonings you prefer. I used onion powder only.
  • Once ground beef is fully cooked, drain fat.
  • Mix in condiments: ketchup, mustard, and mayo to taste. Some people on Tiktok mix in worcestershire sauce, but I decided to skip this.
  • Place bottom halves of rolls in greased casserole dish or on a greased baking sheet. Cover bun halves with sliced cheese.
  • Top buns with ground beef mixture. Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  • Top with bun tops, then brush with melted butter.
  • Bake for 5-10 minutes, until buns are warm and cheese is fully melted. Serve and enjoy!

Which cheese should be used for this recipe?

Get creative with it! If I didn’t have little tastebuds in my house, then we would prefer to use pepper jack cheese.

What else could I do to make these interesting?

Try making bacon cheeseburger sliders. Maybe even try adding avocado, pickles, relish… The sky is the limit.
