I’m really diggin’ on stripes and patterns for Spring. I really thought we’d see more patterns on the Oscar’s red carpet on Sunday night, but instead there really was only solid colors. While we’re on the subject, who was your best dressed? I pretty much died over JLO and Gwyneth Paltrow!
Okay, okay… Back to today’s look. Back to the stripes. A lot of you ladies are probably so freaked out by horizontal stripes… Don’t be! Yes, they can make you look a bit larger (and who wants that? Not this girl!) But worn right, they can be oh so cute. What’s “work right” you may ask? Well, the thinner the stripe, the better. Still self conscious? Layer with an open cardigan or jacket to create some depth to your look. Give it a try and you may be surprised how much you enjoy yourself in stripes! This top is definitely a great example of how to wear horizontal stripes well. Plus, have you seen the back detail? To die for!
