Here’s a shot of my must-haves for music festival season this year:
For those of you unfamiliar with Spring’s hottest festival, it’s a two week long music festival in the middle of the California’s Indio Valley in the desert. And it can get hot. Really, REALLY hot.
And bright. I don’t leave home without my sunglasses. Ever.
A crossbody bag is essential for festivals. You need to have way to carry around a few things all day, and a bag that goes across your body is the most secure way.
Flats are the only type of shoe to pack. Music festivals are typically held in fields, and there are no other acceptable shoe types for grassy areas that you’ll be standing in for hours on end.
Any time I travel, I always make sure to have some headphones and music with me. I love having pre-festival tunes for the road, so I’m packing my iPod this trip.
Another thing I don’t leave home without? My phone charger.
You need to be on your fashion game during this festival season. My favorite fashion picks are denim cut-offs, flowy dresses, flower crowns, kimonos, oversized/ripped up tees and open back tanks. Don’t forget your accessories- layered necklaces and stacked bracelets and rings. Check out my Pinterest for some awesome festival fashion ideas.
Of course you need your toiletries and makeup, but it’s the desert… Like I said, it gets hot. When it gets hot, you sweat. When you sweat, what do you need? Deodorant. I’ve worn Secret Deodorant on and off my whole life, but now they have a new line of amazingly scented deodorants that now protect for a whopping 48 hours!
The Secret Destinations Collection comes in three scents: Paris Romantic Rose, Brazil Rainforest Mist and my favorite, Hawaii Citrus Breeze. Secret also offers body spray which smells amazing!
I agree, for me the best part about music festivals is fashion because people are usually so creative on such events and I love observing all the mixture of styles, clothes etc. Can't wait for the upcoming festival season! 🙂
