These photos are from our short stay in Houston, TX, last week visiting Matt’s family. I haven’t yet posted about my latest (and my proudest) purchase, my Michael Kors bag, so let’s talk about it!
For quite some time now, I’ve wanted to buy myself a nice handbag that I can use for every day. I like large bags (obvi!) and always wear black so I knew I wanted those two characteristics for sure. I haven’t bought myself an expensive purse since my Coach bag I got on sale at Macy’s probably 7 or 8 years ago. I used like to switch my bags out often, so I never really thought spending a lot of money on any one bag made any sense. I’ve noticed though, as I’ve gotten older, that I use my same purses for a really long time. I fell in love with the Michael Kors Hamilton Tote a while ago, but it took me weeks to pull the trigger. I know what most of you are thinking, “Really? We’re not talking a Chanel bag here, we’re talking a Michael Kors bag from Macy’s!” I know, I know… But it feels like a big purchase to me, and I rarely make big purchases like this on myself. Anyways, I’m so happy I bought this bag! Immediately, I felt like I just looked more “expensive” when I’m carrying it (Is that weird?! Haha!) I once heard Derek Hough describe Jane Seymour on DWTS as “expensive” looking and I loved that… I wanna look “expensive” lol!!!
By the way, if you happen to love this bag and want to buy one, make sure the salesperson show you the hidden secret about the lock!
