I’ve been seeing baked tacos all over Pinterest now for months so I thought I’d give them a try.. Man are they delicious! I’ll never go back to regular old, boring tacos again! I made up my own recipe by combining some various taco recipes I saw online..
Ingredients:
– 1 lb. ground beef
– 1 packet of taco seasoning
– Shredded cheese (I used mild cheddar)
– 1 can of refried beans (I used black beans)
– Taco sauce
– Hard taco shells
– Toppings- lettuce, sour cream, etc.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Brown your ground beef and mix in taco seasoning according to the directions on the back of the packet. Empty half of the can of beans into the beef along with approx. 1 cup of taco sauce (add taco sauce to the consistency that you prefer.) Heat the mixture through until it blends together nicely. Place your taco shells in a baking dish so that they’re all able to stand up straight. Place a couple of spoonfuls of the meat mixture at the bottom of each taco shell. Sprinkle cheese on top of the meat mixture inside tacos. Remember, your cheese is going to melt down into the meat so I was generous with my cheese! Bake your tacos for 10 minutes. Remove and top with whatever you like! Mmmmm so good with a side of Mexican rice!
These look delicious!
