I’ve always shied away from blue and purple shades when it comes to eyeshadow because of my terrible dark circles. I knew those shades would only maximize the purple circles under my eyes… That was before I learned the art of color correcting. If you don’t understand what I mean about that, watch this video I did last year all about covering your dark circles. When I’m able to correct the dark circles, I find that I have more ability to play with color that I would otherwise be afraid to.

Smokey eye makeup is a classic look that anyone can create in any color. If you are a beginner with makeup, a single color smokey eye is a great place to begin. You learn the key to eye makeup with this technique: blending. But to take it one step further, you need to remember to blend with a clean brush. A clean blending brush makes all the difference in the world!
