Crock Pot Chicken & Green Bean Casserole Recipe

Crock Pot Chicken & Green Bean Casserole Recipe

My favorite kind of recipe is a crock pot recipe! I love throwing all the ingredients in one dish and coming home to a delicious meal.

My mom & Mawmaw have been making this recipe for as long as I can remember… And boy is it yummy! It’s super easy and always a crowd-pleaser. Serve this with some hot biscuits or cornbread and you’ve got a delicious hearty dinner. This recipe definitely falls under the category of “Comfort Food” and we all know that’s my favorite food group! ?

Chicken & Green Bean Casserole Recipe

  • 6 Chicken Breasts
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 can Cheddar Cheese Soup
  • 3 cans Green Beans, drained
  • 1 box Stove Top chicken Stuffing Mix
  1. Cook your chicken however you like. Once cooked through, dice into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

  2. Prepare your stuffing according to box directions.

  3. Turn your crockpot on high. Cover the bottom of your crockpot with the stuffing mixture (stuffing is your bottom and top layers only).

  4. Pour one can of green beans on top then add 1/3 of your cooked chicken on top of the green beans. Cover with one of your cans of cream soup. Start the process over by layering one can of green beans, then chicken, then one soup can until all ingredients are gone. Save the other half of your stuffing mixture for your very top layer.

  5. Cover and cook on high until boiling (bubbling)

Enjoy!

You'd like our recipe for chicken casserole!

Cube up 3-4 chicken breast (raw) and mix with two cans of cream of chicken soup with half and half (don't fill the cans all the way, use 1/2 can of milk for each can so it's soupy but will thicken up while cooking.) Mix in broccoli and layer the bottom of a 13×9 pan. Cover the chicken, soup, broccoli mixture with swiss or muenster cheese and then cover with stuffing. We use stuffing cubes and chicken stock plus onions and celery. Mix the stuffing up first and then spread it over the top. You can add craisins if you like them (they're awesome in this!) and the leftovers heat up so well! Pop in the oven for about 35-40 minutes on 350-400 until bubbling!

How long in the crock pot? Is this something you could put on low and cook for 8 hours while at work?

I would say less than that… Your ingredients just need to get to the point of boiling to be ready to serve.
